When is Check In time and When is Check Out time?
Generally, Check In time is 3:00 PM and Check Out time is 11:00 AM. Please read carefully your rental contract

Where do I go for a relaxing massage?
You don"t need to go anywhere! You can enjoy a relaxing massage in the privacy of your own villa with Azucena. You can make an appointment with us before arrival or we can put you in contact with her after  your arrival.

Are there restaurantes close by?
There are many fabulous restaurants in Puerto Aventuras, Tulum Akumal and Playa Del Carmen. Not all restaurants take credit cards and those that do only accept Visa and MasterCard. All accept US currency.

Is there day care available for the kids? Can we hire a babysitter?
Yes, we have a fabulous baby sitter available for you to hire, also our maids will sometimes agree to watch the kids for extra money. Just let us know before your arrival or ask directly to her.

Are there laundry facilities available?
All villas are equipped with washers and dryers however they are for the maid"s use only. If you want , they maid your personal laundry. We suggest a tip of $5US per load. She will wash, dry and fold you clothes. Please do not give her delicates of Dry-Clean.

Where and when should we get some pesos?
We recommend that you exchange some pesos at the airport.
There are tons of banks and money exchanges in Playa del Carmen and there is also a money exchange in Akumal. Generally it is open during office hours but remember that they close from 1 to 3 PM. There is one bank and several money exchanges in Tulum as well.
Don"t forget ATMs. They are convenient, the exchange rate is good and you don"t have to carry US cash.

Are there telephones in the villas?
The villas are generally not provided with phones but if having a telephone is a must, you can bring down your cell phone and ask your service provider for international service. All villas are provided with a cell phone contact number so that friends and relatives can leave a message for you in case of an emergency. There are also many pay phones in the area. The grocery stores, pharmacies, supermarkets, OXXO sell national and international calling cards to use in these pay phones.

What do I tip?

When staying at one of the villas, we normally suggest 10 % of your rental cost. From that, 3% goes to the maid and 2% is for the caretaker. Of course, this is only a suggestion. Please give whatever amount you deem appropriate. Tipping in restaurants is the same here as it is in the States. The overall tip is about 15 - 20% of the total bill. Please remember that the prices are in pesos. 10 pesos here are equal to about 1 dollar US.

Is a travel adaptor needed for electrical equipment?
The electrical voltage here is the same as the U.S. 110 volts, 60 cycles A.C. so if you are traveling from the U.S. an adaptor is not needed. If travelling from other parts of the world an adaptor may be needed.

What should we REALLY worry about drinking and eating?
Nothing really. Please understand that this area is very accommodating to tourists and every restaurant knows to purify their fruits and vegetables, so eat up! The Mexicans purify their own food the same way. The fr
