The archaeological zone at Tulum is perhaps one of the most beautiful places in the Riviera Maya. Curled up between the white sand that draws the crystalline beaches of the Caribbean Sea and the exuberant tropical forest lie the enigmatic city of Tulum;  the only known archaeological site located by the sea. Tulum ruins have one of the most beautiful beaches in the Caribbean. Presumably, its original name was Zamá which means "sunrise" in Maya, referring to the spectacular sunrise on the turquoise sea which was the city"s main source of commercial and fishing activity from the time it was founded, around 300 B.C.

Tulum is divided in three different areas, the hotel zone, the town and the archaeological zone. In first are some of most spectacular beaches of the Caribbean coast where most of our beach properties are located; many even consider virgins and it is distinguished by its simple architecture that demostrates a deep respect by environment; their rustic cabins and small eco arqueoogical hotels were altogether constructed harmonies with the natural beauty of the environs. The town of Tulum consists of a main avenue on which all the commercial activity such as handicrafts stores, supermarket, small restaurants, bus-station, pharmacy, supermarkets are located.  The small neighboring towns native maintain their language and traditions alive; the majority lives in typical palapas and its main economic activities are fishing, honey, construction of palapas and rustic manufacture of crafts and furniture.

Cobá, other important archaeological sites in the area is close to Tulúm, it is located to 42Km. to the northwest. Equipped with incomparable natural beauty, the region has a prodigious tropical forest that lodges a series of natural wells that old the Mayans called "Natural wells. Tulúm is, without a doubt, the ideal echo-archaeological destiny for the lovers of the nature, the sun, history, culture and the one in search of physical and spiritual relaxation.
