Beach and sun. The top it!!!

The beaches are, without question, the biggest draw with their sand and crystal and turquoise water.
There is much kind of beaches, each of which has its own distinctive personality, and all of which are open to the public. From desolated to the crowded one, from a Puerto Morelos to Boca Paila. There are public beaches almost the entire length of the Riviera Maya from Puerto Morelos to Tulum. White sand, turquoise and crystal and jungle vegetation abound.

Beaches are usually not crowded, simply because there is so much of it that you can always walk to a non-populated section. All beaches are public so you are allowed, by law, to swim at any beach. You cannot however gain access to the beach by walking through privately owned property but you can choose renting a ocean front or ocean view vacation villa during your next vacation time.

Swimming conditions are usually okay; however, always remember that infants and young children need to be supervised closely. The water is warmest in late August – September and coolest in late January-February.

Playa del Carmen has it own mood, with Mamitas Beach and Kool club; the most fancy option in town. The more quite beaches are at the north of Cocobay Hotel. The beaches closest to the ferry docks are the busiest and you have to walk either north or south to find seclusion. Outside the tourist zone the beaches are lined with jungle. If you are planing to cross to Cozumel Island; keep PLaya Mia in mind .Along the Riviera Maya, Xpu Ha beach is the perfect place for families seeking for a whole day combing at the beach.

Take a look at some of our recommended Beach Spots:

Mamitas Beach: Located in Playa del Carmen, Mamitas Beach and Beach Club has been around for years, but after being severely damaged by Hurricane Wilma, it has received a major facelift, and it is a favorite beach spot for both locals and visitors. It has beautiful covered beach beds, beach volleyball, excellent beach access, great tunes, and a restaurant and bar on site. It is also the annual host for the fashion show produced by Fashion TV. The best way to get to Mamitas is by the access road on Avenue First South between 28th and 30th Streets.

Kool Beach by Playa Tukan: Formerly Tukan Beach and Beach Club, it is now known as Kool Beach and it is located next to Mamitas Beach on your right side. Recently it also had a major face lift similar to Mamitas. Actually Tukan and Mamitas kind of just meld together to create the ultimate beach experience. Beautiful beaches, beautiful people, yummy food, water sports, and premiere lounging spots, you will not be disappointed.

La Playa Xpu Ha Restaurant & Beach Club: Located just 20 min south of Playa del Carmen between the towns of Puerto Aventuras an Akumal;  Xpu Ha beach had become a very popular family hot spot. The restaurant is one of the principal attractions for tourists because of the wide list of services, one of the best sea food restaurant in the area and also dishes for everyone, tacos and hamburgers. They have live music on Sundays beginning 2:30 PM.  Let them know that you are coming from RivieramayaWEB a get 10 % OFF
